box cake mix?....a no-no for me.
by: Anonymous

Hi,I started to bake cakes n cupcakes using box cake mix, however I was always disappointed. They didn't taste as good as the bakery....it is definitely worth while to bake from scratch...and yes sometimes the recipes you get online don't turn up nice, but its part of learning. My advice is once you get a good recipe..keep it. I will be trying your chocolate cake for fondant. Thank you for sharing.

Hi, I want to make an engagement cake using marzipan and royal icing. If I make the cake as a marble cake using chocolate and white chocolate mud. Will it keep if I make it 2 weeks before the engagement?

Use a sugar syrup to moisten your cakes Barbara. equal parts sugar and water. Boil for a few minutes and let cool. Bruch on the cakes. For Marble cakes, I use my buttermilk chocolate cake and the White cake and swirl them together.
