What I am Looking For !

Passion and Inspiration-This site is about inspiring and helping others, so I am looking for an interesting story to go along with your entry. A paragraph or two that will communicate either your love for the art of cake decorating or why you decided to make your own wedding cake.

Tips or Advice-Wedding Cakes For You is also about helping other cake decorators so I am looking for specific helpful advice that other people can use.

Uniqueness or Creativity-The cake should be unique or creative in some way.

Level of Difficulty-I also take into consideration the level of difficulty of each entry.

Posts and Ratings-Visitor ratings and commentary are a plus so let others know about the contest.

Well this is the second cake I have made, the first being my daughter's cake for her 2nd birthday.

Donna may inspire you to Make Your Own Wedding Cake if you haven't yet! Donna starts out with The Leaning Tower of Pisa but her story has a very happy ending!

Official Rules

  • Your cake can be any shape or size.

  • Your cake can be one that you made 10 years ago or yesterday. As long as you made it and you can tell us about how you did it or lend a tip or two.

  • Your entry must include a photograph of the cake and a paragraph or two on what inspired you and how you went about building your cake. (I am looking for helpful information that would be beneficial to aspiring cake decorators and DIY brides.) It can be as long as you like but must be at least 125 words.

  • The contest starts officially right now and runs through August 1st 2010. You can send in your entries at any time during this period!

  • The winner will get a $50 cash prize.

  • I must have at least 2 cake decorators to run the contest, but I hope to have many more than that, so tell all of your cake decorating friends, bakers and pastry chefs, to send in their entries.

  • Promote Promote Promote - Tell all of your friends and family to visit to rate and comment on your cake entries.

  • *Optional-If you want to include a video presentation from Youtube include the code in your entry or a link to your video

  • You may include a link to your blog or website.

  • You may upload up to four photos of your cake.
