What Size Ribbon?

by Brenda
(Ireland)

One inch gold ribbon

One inch gold ribbon

Hi there,

Can you advise me on what width ribbon to put around my wedding cake? Each tier is 3" deep that's without putting the icing on it. I'm putting a cerise pink ribbon around the bottom of each tier, what width would look ideal?

Thank you
Brenda

1 inch ribbon!
by: Lorelie

Hi Brenda,

Congratulations! I would use a 1 inch wide ribbon for your cake, as in the photo above of a cake I made. I have done thinner ribbon but I think this size looks best.

One half inch ribbon
