I Love Decorating Cakes

This is my story.
I love decorating cakes! A few months ago I found myself enrolled in a wedding cake decorating course. There I was with all of my insecurities and the feeling of not belonging. The non~stop comparing of my work to the other decorators was good & bad, it motivated me to keep going & at times made me doubt myself too much. The fun part & the reason for joining this cake decorating class was disintagrating at an alarming rate.
First Tier
Whoa.. when it came time to make, design, stack & decorate my cake as soon as my first tier was covered in fondant..behold..
it was like when the Grinch realizes that Christmas comes no matter what! His heart grows so much that it eventually pops out out from happiness. Well that's how I felt!
My excitement at putting everything I had learned into an actual cake, my cake, my own creation was overwhelming in a positive way. Yes, it was challenging & at times stressful especially the cake topper (the bow)..lol My first bow ever, it sure looked easy when the instructor demonstrated it for us. LOL
I have lots to learn, experiences to go through, hard work & fun work ahead.
The joy you see in people's faces when they lay their eyes on your masterpiece is just priceless! I love decorating cakes.
Don't know if I will make it in this industry, but for now I'm having a great time as long as people come to me to make their precious cakes. I will be there with open arms.
