Hot Pink and Zebra Print!

A Team Effort For A Wild Wedding Cake

My son just got married and my daughter-in-law wanted to do a theme of hot pink, zebra print and Black... at first I was a little concerned about the color scheme... After it was all put together it was beautiful.

The Rolled Fondant Icing

I had always used buttercream frosting; but they wanted a smooth fondant... my son's father made the fondant from scratch and rolled/colored it...

The Baking

I baked, filled the layers and helped to decorate it... Everyone thought it cost a fortune and that we had it professionally made... came out better than we all expected!

Robert and Danna Your whimsical wedding cake is a great addition to the cake decorating contest! I love the bright colors. I'm sure the bride and groom were very happy with this unique wedding cake. What flavor was it?

The bottom layer was dark chocolate with fudge and fresh strawberries, the next was french vanilla with Bavarian cream filling and the last was red velvet with cream cheese filling.... I have only done a few cakes, non-professionally and this was Bob's first! He watches way too much cable/dish food shows!!!
